My beautiful sister is getting married in June and as the MOH it was my job to throw her an amazing bridal shower. We chose to do it at my house and immediately started pinning away some fun ideas. We came up with the theme 'Vintage Love Birds'. My sister and I love all things vintage looking and for some reason between my mom, sister, and myself we are a little bird crazy... not sure why? Anyway we spent hours creating special touches for this wonderful celebration of Jess and John. We really believe that guests to any party appreciate and remember all those little touches- or at least that is what we tell ourselves since we spend so much time on them. haha- hope you enjoy a few pictures of the day.

Thanks to the fabulous Facebook- I was able to do some timeline research to find all the cheesy, lovely moments between Jess and John. I put them into a fun little game where guests had to guess who said what. Let's just say John has had some really lovely moments. Very fun game!! |

Table top decor: ball jars, fresh flowers, and frames with a picture on one side and love saying on the other. |
Dessert Table: hand made signs and cupcake flags. Scrapbook banner: Love is Sweet
We created tags for drinks and food that matched our color scheme. Also we LOVED the stripes straws we found! |
Wedding date painted on burlap! |
The chalkboard I made with Jess and John's love story! |
Bird cage for cards. |
One of my favorite things- we created a large focal point above the island between the two lights. These fun tissue pom poms were from all over... Michaels, Joann Fabrics, Target, online resources- you name we went searching. The key to this is different sized, color shades, and textures. |
The happy couple! |
We started with a cardboard M from Joann Fabrics and selected our favorite gray yarn. Then honestly just start wrapping...
Every once in a while it helped to add some doubled sided tape to hold the yarn to start. |
Final product! My sister's new last name starts with M- but so does my last name. So this M just might stay on my mantel for good. Jessica is going to reuse it at the wedding though. |

'Future Mrs.' banner we made out of scrapbook paper. |
Happy Bridal Shower Jessica! Can't wait for the wedding!!
