A Weekend DIY

We had a new table for our kitchen that we loved, but it did not come with any chairs.  So we found some that we liked off a website but did not care for the plain tan cushion color.  We wanted to give them a little pop of color.  So I set off to Joann Fabric and found great yellow fabric with a fun modern geometrical pattern.  Follow the pictures for a step by step...
The before tan, somewhat boring cushion
Start out with cutting enough fabric to cover the cushion with about a 2 inch overhang on each side.  Then use a staple gun to securely staple along each side of the chair.- Shout out to my designer sister Jess- who was doing the work here!
Leave the corners until the end- they can be the most intimidating.
Corners- Flatten the fabric and do one staple in the middle
Then fold down one side at a time and staple.

There you have it... a clean, tailored corner fold.

Here is a final product...
Now the chairs look great and add that bit of color I wanted in the kitchen area.
